We helped the NYCDOT deploy an OTA update solution for 1000s of vehicles across New York in a multi-vendor project. 

Our software solution, once installed In vehicles and infrastructure, ensured devices could be updated remotely with security and firmware updates, and was critical to minimising the cost of running the V2X infrastructure, since devices never needed to be physically accessed once Installed.

 
We did some searching to try and find a solution to the thousands of vehicles that need to update all their software. Trying to do it on a unicast basis just wont work. So [with Steinwurf’s licensed product] we developed a solution using a network coding structure and made it available to our suppliers, they tested and tried it and we found it was pretty efficient and would work pretty well. The vendors tested it validated it and we moved forward with it.
